The one thing that diverts vilification for
being "one of those", those being love struck,
is by making it unrecognizable (the
vilification, that is). Trying to live on
yesterday's love makes for futility today. If
your today is loveless, longing for yesterday's
lost love is like trying to find the chills you had
when you first heard "That'll Be the Day". I
can't speak to survivorship situations but I
know in moving on ventures, today's love is
everything. It makes pop culture tolerable,
turns sugar water into mojitos and supplants
unvanquished as your tour de force.
